Focus on Home

I am alive and well, despite my lack of blog posts. As you can see, my focus has been more about Heart & Home. Since my last blog post, I have attend the funeral of my Grandfather, Clifford Pelkey who passed away after a lengthy illness. When a relative passes away it is always difficult. Yet, there is the gathering of family and friends. It is always wonderful to reconnect. It is more important, as my home goes through some major changes. Concord Nurseries, Inc. Where my Husband has been employed for 25 years, has shut it's doors and ceased operation. With his last day of work on August 20, 2010.We are adjusting well to Jeff being home daily, while conducting his job search. While being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator has it's finacial rewards, it also allows me to remain creative (which by all means is very therapeutic!) I am always meeting new stampers, funny how you just find them! They inspire me with their different styles, & ideas. My new friend Rena, is at fault for this cute book! She showed me a great book on Mini Albums and I just had to try this adorable little house pattern.

Family & Friends Weekend

Hubby & Me at Mike & Julie's wedding
Sorry, I was under the weather yesterday.
Saturday, as a family, minus one.We attend a the wedding of Jeff's cousin. Mike & Julie Farner had a small ceremony in their home, and reception at the Leon Fire Hall. It was an enjoyable evening visiting with cousins, dancing, and just being together.
We had pulled our camper, to Leon and spent the night. We returned home early sunday morning. We did not spend much time putting the jacks under the camper.I did not tolerate the waves of the camper, with each footstep. Something to be said about sea-sickness in a camper.
Sunday, was filled with visiting. We enjoyed the company of the Flaig family. The kids wanted to show off their under-water swimming skills. It was just nice to sit and talk with Murrlene.
Then we were off to visit my grandparents. My Grandfather had called and asked me "what have you been up to, we have not heard from you all week". That was an instant invitation to visit. We visited with Grandpa and Grandma Timmel, and went out to dinner with them.
These will be the moments to cherish, surrounded by the people you love. :)
